Horizons in the Community
Every year, in appreciation and celebration of communities, Horizons makes intentional contributions to our local, regional, and global communities.
Liverpool International Theatre Festival
For five days in May, Liverpool welcomes amateur theatre troupes from all over the world. Held every two years, LITF began twenty two years ago, initially to bring more people to the town in the off-season. The festival has grown to become one of the leading amateur theatre festivals in the world, and an invitation to perform is considered an honour by every troupe participating.
To stay connected to the festival, visit their Facebook page.
Jean has been part of the Festival since 2011 and has been Chairperson since the completion of the 2012 festival. Horizons has been a sponsor of the Festival since 2012.
Les Misérables in Liverpool
Horizons was a proud sponsor of the Winds of Change production of Boublil and Schönberg’s Les Misérables, which played eight sold-out shows at the Astor Theatre in Liverpool in November, 2014. Jean served as the production's producer, responsible for all elements of the production that happen off the stage. The production was the groups biggest in its forty year history, with a cast of 40 and at least that many people behind the scenes.
Spring Into Action Challenge
Horizons sponsors an annual Spring into Action Challenge to encourage our clients and colleagues to maintain physically active lifestyles. Each year more than 400 people participate (Click here for more information).

We contributed proceeds from day planner sales to Elsipogtog Health and Wellness; the Labrador Metis Nation's Learning for Life Preventing Diabetes Project; and the International Association for Community Development.

Three hundred participants from nearly 30 countries around the world gathered to share stories, learnings, food, fun, and passion; and to build ongoing networks and connections.
